In an effort to continue developing players all year long, we will be offering mini-camps during the school season as a part of our Basketball Academy. Each mini-camp will allow players to work on their overall skill as well as be introduced to concepts that will help in both their short-term and long-term development. The mini-camps will be held at Bogan Park in Buford, GA and each one will last from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The cost is just $30 per player per mini-camp. Players signing up for two or more sessions at the same time will only be charged $25 per session. Dates for the fall are as follows:
August 22
September 12
September 26
October 10
October 17
October 24
Please email me at bclay@peachstatehoops.com to reserve a spot in the camp. Here's a look at a clip from our August 15th Camp:
We also have developed our exclusive, invite-only Elite Basketball Academy. The Academy is designed for both development and assessments for high school players who are ranked in the Top 25 nationally by the JumpOffPlus.com and college players who are projected WNBA First or Second Round Picks.
We will also host our EBA All-American Camp in the fall of each year for high school players starting September 18/19, 2010. Our Elite Basketball Academy (EBA) All-American Camp will bring 36 of the country's top prospects together for two days to work with and be evaluated by the JumpOffPlus.com staff. Nine players will represent each of the four teams (Team 2011, Team 2012, Team 2013, Team Future). Invited players will play in full court EBA league games and participate in group workouts.:

College Players
Kelsey Bone - 6'5" - Post - Dulles HS (Dulles, TX) - Texas A&M
Bone was both a McDonald's and WBCA All American coming out of high school and was a first team All-SEC Freshman Team selection in the 2009-10 season before choosing to transfer from South Carolina after the season. She'll have three years remaining after sitting out the 2010-11 season.
Dawn Evans - 5'7" - PG - Northeast HS (Clarksville, TN) - James Madison
Evans took the road less traveled going to an emerging mid-major powerhouse in James Madison. Through three seasons, Evans has made her presence felt against just about everyone averaging 24 points and five assists a game last year including a cool 38 points in a road game against Virginia and their All-American Monica Wright.
Alex Montgomery - 6'1" - Wing - Lincoln HS (Tacoma, WA) - Georgia Tech
A Top 30 prospect coming out of high school, Montgomery overcame a knee injury that ended her sophomore season by rebounding to have a junior season that saw her earn All-ACC honors. She finished the 2009-10 campaign averaging 12 points and six boards a night in just 25 minutes as she returned to 100% as the season progressed closing out the year well with 19 points and 12 boards in the ACC Tourney semifinal game vs Duke.
Maya Moore - 6'1" - Forward - Collins Hill HS (Suwanee, GA) - UConn
The nation's Number One ranked player coming out of high school in 2007 has not failed to meet expectations. In the past six months, she's won her second Wade Trophy as National Player of the Year Award, second NCAA National Championship, played for the USA Senior National Team at the WNBA All-Star Game and flown to play pick-up basketball with President Obama, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant.
Here's a short video clip of our most recent shooting workout in late June 2010 with Elite Basketball Academy member Maya Moore from UConn.

In basketball, both high physical skill and mental intelligence are crucial to the success of players on all levels. Our player development program combines college level skills and drills with a college level mental approach to the game. Our player development program is designed to allow high school varsity caliber players a chance to experience consistent improvement in all areas of the game. In just an hour per session, we cover fundamentals in areas that will help players at all positions. Some of the areas covered include shooting form, ballhandling, post moves, getting open moves, shooting off the pass and off the dribble, creating space with and without the ball, and team concepts such as the pick and roll or penetrating the defense to find the open man.
