Consulting
&hdThere are over 1,500 colleges and universities that offer young women a chance to play basketball on the next level. Part of our goal at Peach State Basketball is to make choosing the right school as simple as possible. We want the college recruiting experience to be enjoyable for our clients. That is why we have created our brand new Consulting Service. We will assist players and families in determining Best-Fit playing options based on nine different criteria.

This innovative one-of-a-kind consulting service ties together all of the components in allowing players and their families to figure out what college playing options are available and which option is the Best-Fit on an individual basis. Our staff spends countless hours on the phone with college coaches on all levels of play. We use the feedback that the coaches provide along with each player's personal criteria in choosing a school to help give the best possible advice on possible fits. We will provide honest, accurate evaluations based on our player evaluation skills.

All appointments must be paid for in full four days before the scheduled meeting or the appointment will be cancelled.

We recommend the Consulting Program for current high school juniors, seniors and any college transfers (All transfers must have obtained a release prior to the session).

Consulting sessions will be held in Buford, GA. Each session will last approximately two hours. The cost is $495 for the session that includes contacting college coaches about the prospect afterwards, a full hour long workout, follow-up evaluation of the player's current skill set posted on the JumpOffPlus Daily Media Page and a short (approx. 4 - 5 mins) posted YouTube clip of part of the workout posted on Peach State TV. All prices are per player. For consultation session availability, please email Brandon Clay at bclay@peachstatehoops.com.

Here is an evaluation from October 2009 featuring Consulting Program member Brittany Jack:

Height: 6’0” - Grad Year: 2010
Current Position: SF - Projected College Position: SF
School: Peachtree Ridge High - Location: Suwanee, GA

Brittany Jack - a Class of 2010 graduate - is a talented six foot forward. Still unsigned though she is sitting on a couple of scholarship offers, Jack brings a lot of versatility to the table playing the point guard position through the power forward position for her school team this past season. She is the highest rated full qualifier left on the board in the southeast region according to the JumpOffPlus.com.

Armed with nice length and a smooth jumper, Jack can put the ball in the basket. Continuing to develop her left hand dribble drive from the wing will only add to her ability to score at the next level. She’ll offensive rebound and also can score in the 10-12 foot range giving her the ability to play either forward position on offense allowing teams to go small with her at the four or smaller with her at the three.

Her length is valuable on the defensive end too. Jack can defend multiple positions and seems to take pride in stopping opponents. Improving her lateral quickness defending slashing guards and strength to defend a four player who might post will enhance what she already brings to the floor on that end.

Why Peach State Basketball Consulting?
For players, our service helps answer tough questions such as:
- Where am I on a school's recruiting list?
- Is this the college level where I can make an immediate impact?
- What school can provide me with the best academic and athletic experience available?

THIS IS NOT A RECRUITING SERVICE. We aim to educate players, parents and anyone involved in the recruiting process by providing the resources and knowledge needed to understand the steps to obtaining a college scholarship. Our in-depth research allows us to pass on ways to ask and get answers to the tough questions that determine what school is truly the Best-Fit.

In each player's personalized session, we will cover the nine criteria, develop a gameplan that identifies possible college choices and create a strategy to market and promote the player to colleges. Each Consulting Service client will receive:

- A personal skill assessment and evaluation from Peach State Basketball Director, Brandon Clay.
- A Peach State Consulting Packet with details on the nine criteria and other pertinent information on how to create awareness among college coaches.
- Contact information and references for up to ten colleges handpicked during the consultation.
- A personal worksheet that will serve as a step-by-step resource guide in the college selection process.
