6-1 Class of 2010 forward Jelleah Sidney out of St. Michael Academy in Queens, New York has decided to attend Syracuse University. She'll spend her career playing for Orange head coach Quentin Hillsman in the Big East Conference.

I caught up with 6-foot-2 Class of 2011 wing Taylor Greenfield out of Ballard High located in Huxley, Iowa yesterday. Greenfield has several scholarship offers already including her most recent pickup, Stanford.

The second day of the JumpOffPlus.com Elite 24 Summer Jam was every bit as good as the first. The competition level and the quality of the games were so good that several of the industry's most notable names including Geno Auriemma (UConn), Brenda Frese (Maryland), Gail Goestenkors (Texas), Andy Landers (Georgia), Muffet McGraw (Notre Dame), Pat Summitt (Tennessee) spent parts of their day at Augusta State evaluating the talent on hand. Even Nike's Director of Women's College and Grassroots Marketing Jill Pizzotti took time out of her schedule in between sessions at Nike Nationals to see the Summer Jam.

The JumpOffPlus.com Elite 24 Summer Jam got off to a roaring start on Monday afternoon with a packed house of players, college coaches and media alike. 102 colleges sent at least one coach to Augusta State for the day's festivities with many bringing multiple coaches to watch some of the country's top teams and players. Keil Moore was on hand for in-depth game by game recaps of the event. Mike Flynn, Chris Mennig and Kevin Lynch from Blue Star Basketball were in the building along with the whole HoopGurlz team with Glenn Nelson, Chris Hansen, Mark Lewis and Mindy Rice covering the Summer Jam.
