Applications and Schedules

The 5th Annual Spring Showdown will be held on March 26 & 27, 2011. The Spring Showdown is designed for the region's top travel programs to kick off the spring/summer travel season and give their players an opportunity to be evaluated by the JumpOffPlus.com and qualify to receive invitations to either the 2011 Peach State Fab Five Camp or the 2011 Peach State Jr. Fab Five Camp both of which will be NCAA-certified in 2011. This will be a great way for travel teams to get ready for the upcoming April evaluation period.

Directions to the Georgia Tech CRC Coming from I-85 Southbound(Northern Suburbs/Lenox): Take the Seventeenth Street exit and make a right, follow tenth street until the intersection of Seventeenth and Northside Drive, make a left onto Northside and follow until the intersection of Northside and Tenth Street. Make a left on Tenth Street and follow until the intersection of Tenth and Hemphill. Make a right hand turn and follow Hemphill until the interesection of Hemphill and Ferst, make a right at the yield sign onto Ferst Drive, follow Ferst about a 1/2 mile and you will see the entrance on the right hand side of the road. The parking lot we need to use is about .2 miles further up Ferst Drive on the left side. You can park and walk across the street to the CRC.

From I-85 Northbound (Airport/Peachtree City): Take the Tenth Street exit and make a left, follow tenth street until the intersection of Tenth and Hemphill, make a left hand turn and follow Hemphill until the interesection of Hemphill and Ferst, make a right at the yield sign onto Ferst Drive, follow Ferst about a 1/2 mile and you will see the entrance on the right hand side of the road. The parking lot we need to use is about .2 miles further up Ferst Drive on the left side. You can park and walk across the street to the CRC.

Tournament Playing Rules

1. Each team will play a guaranteed three games.
2. National High School Federation rules will be followed with the few exceptions listed below.
3. Each player will be allowed a total of six (6) fouls before being disqualified.
4. All games will be played in two (2) sixteen (16) minute stop-clock halves.
5. The first overtime period will be sudden death. The first team to score a point wins the game.
6. There will be a three (3) minute rest period between halves.
7. Teams will be allowed to call two (2) full time-outs and two (2) thirty second time-out during the regulation game.
8. There will be a minimum of a five (5) minute warm-up period between games.
9. All teams are expected to arrive for games 45 min prior to the scheduled start times. A five-minute grace period will be allowed before a forfeit is declared. If any team is knowingly unable to make their scheduled game, they must notify the Tournament Director in advance.
10. Coaches must enter their team roster (number and last name) in the book before each game.
11. Bonus (1 & 1) will begin on the 10th foul. However, there is no double bonus.
