Applications and Schedules
The 3rd Annual Pre-Season Challenge will be held on April 9 & 10, 2011. The Pre-Season Challenge is designed for the region's top travel programs to prepare for the spring evaluation weekend. It also gives players on hand an opportunity to be ranked by the JumpOffPlus.com staff and possibly receive invitations to either the Peach State Fab Five Camp or the Peach State Jr. Fab Five Camp both of which are NCAA-certified. This will be a great way for travel teams to get ready for the upcoming April evaluation period.
Tournament Playing Rules
1. Each team will play a guaranteed three games.
2. National High School Federation rules will be followed with the few exceptions listed below.
3. Each player will be allowed a total of six (6) fouls before being disqualified.
4. All games will be played in two (2) sixteen (16) minute stop-clock halves.
5. The first overtime period will be sudden death. The first team to score a point wins the game.
6. There will be a three (3) minute rest period between halves.
7. Teams will be allowed to call two (2) full time-outs and two (2) thirty second time-out during the regulation game.
8. There will be a minimum of a five (5) minute warm-up period between games.
9. All teams are expected to arrive for games 45 min prior to the scheduled start times. A five-minute grace period will be allowed before a forfeit is declared. If any team is knowingly unable to make their scheduled game, they must notify the Tournament Director in advance.
10. Coaches must enter their team roster (number and last name) in the book before each game.
11. Bonus (1 & 1) will begin on the 10th foul. However, there is no double bonus.
